James Frew Ltd (GasSure) was formed in 1911, by the great grandfather of the present Managing Director, Roddy Frew. The firm is now one of the largest privately-owned building services companies in Scotland, providing integrated property solutions, including plumbing, heating, mechanical services, electrical installation, gas maintenance, renewables and property upgrade services for the public and private sector.
GasSure, launched in 2004, is a comprehensive private repair and services scheme that offers a specially designed maintenance plan to provide complete peace of mind to homeowners all year round.

James Frew have been running an apprenticeship programme for over 40 years. The company currently directly employs over 410 staff.
The James Frew Academy was launched within Paisley West College Scotland in 2017, to build upon the already successful tailor made apprenticeship scheme. The company is currently supporting 55 apprentices in various stages of the programme.
